you want to be if you want to get away from everything. It is about an hour to a hour and half drive from the airport and Waikiki.
The quiet tranquil town of Haleiwa has a variety of restaurants and
shopping. The North Shore is home to
some of the most world renowned surf spots including Banzai Pipeline, Sunset
Beach, and Waimea Bay. The waves are
largest between December and February and can be very dangerous at times. In the summer the ocean calms down again and
is great for diving, snorkeling, and kayaking.
